Eswab Front  Eswab Back or BBL Red Cap Culturette II Swabs

E-swabs or BBL Culture swabs only of Lesions, Ulcers, Drainage, Superficial surface wounds, Placenta swab, Products of conception swab, Vulva, Vaginal abscess, tear or laceration, Inguinal, Bartholin gland or cyst, Semen, Penile discharge.

 

If for MRSA culture, Add rule/out MRSA to requisition.

Specimen Stability Information

Room temperature transport to laboratory ASAP

Room temperature up to 24 hours for unpreserved specimens and BBL Culture Swabs.

48 hours room temperature or refrigerated if an Eswab is used
