Billing Code

  • 3009067 x2
  • 3010024
  • 3000602

Profile Information

Monoclonal protein panel includes:

Serum total protein, Serum protein electrophoresis and Serum free light chains

Serum protein electrophoresis and/or serum immunofixation alone do not adequately screen for monoclonal gammopathies. Serum free light chains in addition to serum protein electrophoresis increase the likely hood of detecting monoclonal gammopathies or other plasma cell disorders.

If a monoclonal protein is found in the Serum Protein Electrophoresis, Serum Immunofixation can be added for characterization.

  • Serum Immunofixation:  Order Test Code: IFES/LAB5171
