Useful For
“Rhogam” is a brand name for Rh Immune Globulin.
It is used to prevent the immunization in Rh negative individuals exposed to Rh positive red cells. It is a concentrated solution containing 300 µg of Anti D (IgG), which is sufficient to counteract the immunizing effects of 15 mL of Rh positive red cells. The major use for Rhogam is with Rh negative obstetric patients.
