- Yellow (Gold) top tube (SST) or
- Plasma Preparation Tube (PPT)
- Also acceptable: Lithium Heparin Green top tube
NOTE: Fasting specimen preferred.

Transport: Frozen only. Transfer 1 mL serum or plasma to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube. (Min: 0.5 mL)
Stability: After separation from cells: Ambient: 8 hours; Refrigerated: 72 hours; Frozen: 1 month
